There are two ways of constant speed and variable speed in the operation of water supply pumps, which can adjust the flow according to the requirements of water supply users.When running at constant speed, throttle regulation is generally adopted, which has the disadvantage of low efficiency and large energy consumption.During variable speed operation, the pump speed can be changed during operation to adjust the output flow rate to adapt to the change of water consumption, and ensure the constant pressure of pipe network, and the pump always works under the condition of high efficiency.When water consumption is reduced, the pump runs at a lower speed.Because the pump shaft power is proportional to the third power of the speed.When the speed drops, the shaft power drops greatly, so the variable speed adjustment flow rate is the most economical and reasonable in improving mechanical efficiency and reducing energy consumption.
